The Nexus AI Plagiarism Checker scans your text against millions of web pages, academic papers, and online publications in seconds. It returns a detailed report highlighting any matched passages and linking directly to the original sources — so you can review every flag in context and revise with confidence before you publish or submit.
The Plagiarism Checker requires a Premium or Ultimate plan. Upgrade your account to access this feature.

How it works

The plagiarism check runs in three stages:
  1. Input — You paste your text directly into the checker or upload a PDF or DOCX file
  2. Scan — Nexus AI compares your content against its corpus of millions of web pages, academic databases, and online publications in real time
  3. Report — You receive a plagiarism report with highlighted matched sections, a similarity score, and direct links to each matched source

Running a plagiarism check

1

Open the Plagiarism Checker

Log in to Nexus AI and navigate to Plagiarism Checker from your dashboard. This feature is available on Premium and Ultimate plans.
2

Paste your text or upload a document

Either paste your content directly into the text field, or upload a file in PDF or DOCX format. There is no need to pre-format the text before submitting.
3

Run the check

Click Check for Plagiarism. Nexus AI begins scanning immediately — most checks complete within seconds regardless of document length.
4

Review your report

Your report highlights matched passages directly in the text. Each flagged section includes:
  • A similarity indicator showing the degree of match
  • A direct link to the matched source so you can read the original content
5

Revise flagged sections

For any passages that are flagged, open the AI Writer to rewrite or paraphrase the content. See the AI Writer guide for instructions on using Paraphrase mode.
Run a plagiarism check before submitting academic work or publishing any article. Catching matches early gives you time to revise without last-minute pressure.

Frequently asked questions

Nexus AI scans millions of sources including publicly accessible web pages, academic papers, journals, and online publications. Each flagged match includes a direct link to the source so you can verify the result yourself.
You can submit content as plain text (pasted directly), PDF, or DOCX. If your document is in another format, convert it to one of these three before uploading.
Nexus AI scans a broad and continuously updated corpus to surface potential matches. Because every flagged section includes a direct link to the matched source, you can review each result in its original context and decide whether a revision is needed. No automated checker is a substitute for your own judgement.
