AI File Chat lets you turn static documents into interactive conversations. Instead of reading through lengthy reports or contracts manually, you upload your file and ask Nexus AI exactly what you need to know — getting precise, context-aware answers pulled directly from your document’s content.

Supported file types

PDF

Research papers, contracts, reports, manuals, and any other PDF document.

Word Documents

Both .doc and .docx formats are supported, including formatted reports and notes.

CSV

Spreadsheet exports and data files — ask questions about your data without writing a single formula.

What you can use it for

Upload a contract and ask Nexus AI to identify key clauses, obligations, renewal dates, or any terms you want to flag — without reading every page.
Get a concise summary of academic papers, white papers, or long-form reports in seconds, then drill into specific sections with follow-up questions.
Ask targeted questions about figures, trends, or findings in CSV files and data-heavy PDFs. Nexus AI pulls the numbers and context you need.
Upload meeting notes, lecture transcripts, or reference documents and query them conversationally — perfect for revision or quick look-ups.

Chatting with a file

AI File Chat requires a Premium or Ultimate plan. Upgrade your plan to access this feature.

Open AI File Chat

From your Nexus AI dashboard, click AI File Chat in the navigation menu. You’ll see the file upload panel.

Upload your file

Drag and drop your file into the upload area, or click Browse to select a PDF, Word document, or CSV from your device.

Wait for processing

Nexus AI will index your document. This typically takes a few seconds for most files. Larger documents may take slightly longer.

Ask your questions

Type your question into the chat input. For example: “Summarise this document” or “What are the key findings in section 3?” Nexus AI will respond with answers drawn directly from your file.

Copy or export your insights

Click Copy on any response to grab the text, or use Export Conversation to save the full chat as a reference document.
For best results with large documents, ask specific questions rather than broad summaries. For example, “What does section 4 say about payment terms?” will return sharper results than “Tell me about this document.”
Do not upload files containing sensitive personal data unless your organisation has reviewed Nexus AI’s data protection policy and confirmed compliance with your data handling requirements.
