Hosting plans

Starhost plans are organised into three tiers. Each tier differs in the amount of storage, monthly bandwidth, and the number of sites you can host.

Starter

Great for personal projects and simple sites. Includes hosting for a single site with generous storage and bandwidth to get you started.

Pro

Built for growing businesses and freelancers managing multiple sites. Increased storage, higher bandwidth, and priority support.

Business

For agencies and high-traffic sites. Maximum storage and bandwidth, support for many sites, and advanced features.
Exact pricing, storage limits, and bandwidth allowances are listed at mystarhost.com/pricing. Prices may vary by region.

Billing cycle

You can choose to be billed monthly or annually:
  • Monthly billing — Pay each month and change your plan at any time.
  • Annual billing — Pay upfront for a full year and save compared to the monthly rate. Annual plans are billed in a single charge at the start of each billing year.
You can switch between monthly and annual billing from your account settings. Switching to annual billing takes effect at your next renewal date.

Upgrading or downgrading your plan

You can change your plan at any time from your Starhost dashboard:
  1. Log in to mystarhost.com and go to Account → Billing.
  2. Click Change Plan.
  3. Select the plan you want to move to and confirm.
Upgrading takes effect immediately. You’re charged a prorated amount for the remainder of your current billing period. Downgrading takes effect at the start of your next billing period. Your current plan and its features remain active until then.
Before downgrading, make sure your sites and storage usage are within the limits of the new plan. Sites or data that exceed the lower plan’s limits may become inaccessible.

Cancelling your subscription

You can cancel your Starhost subscription at any time — there are no cancellation fees:
  1. Go to Account → Billing in your dashboard.
  2. Click Cancel Subscription and follow the prompts.
  3. Your subscription is cancelled and will not renew.
Your sites remain fully accessible until the end of your current billing period. After that, your account moves to an inactive state and your site files are retained for a grace period before deletion.
If you cancel and later want to reactivate your account, you can log back in and choose a new plan. Your sites may still be recoverable during the grace period.
