## Tips for natural-sounding output

<Accordion title="Use proper punctuation">
  The AI reads punctuation as pacing cues. Commas create brief pauses, full stops signal the end of a thought, and question marks adjust intonation accordingly. Missing punctuation leads to flat, run-on delivery — so treat your script as you would a written document.
</Accordion>

<Accordion title="Break long text into shorter segments">
  For lengthy scripts, split your content into logical paragraphs or sections and generate each one separately. This gives you more control over pacing and lets you re-generate individual sections without redoing the entire piece.
</Accordion>

<Accordion title="Avoid abbreviations and symbols">
  Spell out abbreviations (write *"Doctor"* instead of *"Dr"*) and numbers in full (write *"twenty-five"* instead of *"25"*) unless you want the AI to read the literal characters. Symbols like *&* or *%* may be read inconsistently depending on context.
</Accordion>

<Accordion title="Use emphasis strategically">
  Where your voice library supports SSML or emphasis tags, use them sparingly to stress key words. Overusing emphasis reduces its impact and can make the audio sound unnatural.
</Accordion>

<Note>
  AI Text-to-Speech requires a **Premium** ($25/mo) or **Ultimate** ($50/mo) plan. It is not available on the Free plan. [View pricing](https://app.mynexusai.com) to upgrade.

<Tip>
  Need a unique, branded voice rather than a preset? Use **AI Voice Clone** (Ultimate plan) to create a custom voice model from an audio sample, then use it directly within Text-to-Speech.
